Having a check up after an abortion
Marie Stopes Reproductive Choices are able to provide a free check up after abortion for those women who attended the centre for a pregnancy consultation to help ease any worries or concerns they may have. We also offer this to new clients for a small fee.
We recommend that women come to see us three weeks after an abortion for the following reasons:
- To confirm that the pregnancy has ended
- To discuss any concerns that you many have and to find out if you would like post abortion counselling
- To discuss future contraception
If at this time you would also like to discuss your feelings about your abortion with a non-judgmental, specialist counsellor we are happy to arrange this. We also provide a full range of contraceptive methods and can discuss the best option for your individual needs.
