Make it safe, make it legal!
Ireland is one of the only European countries where abortion is still severely restricted. Making abortion illegal does not reduce the need for abortion. Every year thousands of Irish women travel to Britain or elsewhere and pay to access private abortion services – www.safeandlegalinireland.ie. Others are forced to continue with an unwanted pregnancy against their will. This situation is unacceptable! 21st century Irish women deserve better access to reproductive healthcare, including safe abortion.
A majority of Irish citizens agree that abortion should be made legal.
Add your support to calls for legalisation.
Go one step further. Contact your parliamentary representatives and urge them to support women’s reproductive rights.
