Who are the anti-choice organisations in Ireland?

There are organisations in Ireland that may not support a woman’s right to choose whether she continues with her pregnancy or chooses to have an abortion. They call themselves ‘pro-life’ and they believe that abortion is wrong.

Many of their members would not permit abortion under any circumstances, including rape, incest or risk to a woman’s life. These organisations believe that abortion should be illegal. We believe these organisations are anti-choice. They are entitled to their beliefs but not entitled to influence your choice.

If you visit some organisations about an unplanned pregnancy, be aware that they may not give impartial advice about abortion and may dissuade a woman from exercising her right to choose.

At Reproductive Choices we are completely pro-choice and believe that it is a woman's right to choose whether or not she continues with her pregnancy. For supportive help and advice call
