Female sterilisation
What is it? Female sterilisation is a surgical procedure to seal the fallopian tubes that carry eggs from the ovaries to the uterus. This prevents the egg and sperm meeting, so a pregnancy can't occur. The eggs are then reabsorbed by the body.
