Contraception fees

Women have about 40 years of fertility to look after during the course of their lifetimes, so it’s very likely that they will change contraception methods along the way.

Each person will have a different experience with each method of contraception, so you may have to try a few before you find one which works for you. We know how much of a minefield it can be and we are here to really take the time to consider your worries and apprehensions as well as your medical history.

** Cancellation or rearranging appointments must be done within 24hrs of date of attending, otherwise deposit is forfeited.

Emergency contraception ‘morning after pill’

Accidents happen. If the contraceptive method failed (the condom split or a contraceptive pill was missed) or you had unprotected sex, you might be worried about a crisis pregnancy. Emergency contraception can prevent a pregnancy after unprotected sex.

Emergency contraception needs to be taken as soon as possible after  sexual intercourse, preferably within the first few hours. Different brands have different effectiveness.

You can also have an IUD (copper coil) fitted in up to 5 days after unprotected sex and has the same effectiveness from day 1 to day 5.
